Our client is a specialist engineering company based in Shah Alam, with projects in Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
about the job
- Provides overall day-to-day leadership, management and direction to the finance, accounting, administration, payroll and procurement functions.
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, reliable project reporting, sound budgeting and forecasting and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
- Providing input on financial strategies which includes funding, structure, cash flow management and capital allocations, and supports the CFO in understanding the company’s financial position on a timely basis.
- Work closely with the CFO to deliver monthly consolidated reporting to the board and deliver system and procedural improvements both in general accounting and operations.
about the manager/team
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be working closely with him and the local management team to ensure updated financial reporting. You will be supported by a team of accounting/hr professionals.
skills & experience required
- Degree in Accounting. ACCA/CPA is a plus.
- Local Malaysian with a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience. Experience in project accounting is a must.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, planning and organising, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently.
