Job description: Job Objective Responsible for financial planning and analysis, forecasing, budgeting and internal control. Role & Responsibilities : To set up accounting system, function and processes for the newly form operating company To highlight the financial implications of proposal and business decision and impact on the investment and financial management, risk management and pertinent areas. To interpret trens, position and situation to give insights and to add value to the management decision process. To undertake risk assessment (including ERM) and risk impact studies on the operations of the SBG and highlight risk mitigation initiatives. Balance sheet management under Investment Management Discipline (‘IMD’) and Financial Management Discipline (‘FMD’)- ensuring that the assests and liabilities are deployed efficiently and judiciously, giving optimal return to the control and to ensure strict compliance to FMD. To understand and implement Financial Management Excellence under the IMD, FMD and other management programmes, customizing programmes and initiatives to create and sustain Financial and Operational excellence. To undertake Capex and Investment assessment, implementation review and to conduct post- capex and investment reviews to ensure that the purpose and financial retuens as proposed have been realized. Budget Management and Controllership – to ensure that the business plan and budget is in line with Group Industrial Master Plan, verifying the underlying assumptions to be realistic and achievable and to monitor for feedback to Management on budget performance. To take an active role in the formulation and be responsible for the compliance and enforcement of the Group’s Policies, Rules and Regulations and the Company’s standard operating policies and procedures ensuring same are in line with industry’s best practices and the relevant regulatory bodies. To assist the Managing Director / Operating Manager in the formation of business strategies to chart the Enterpreneurial Vision of ‘Where Do You Want To Take The Business From Here’. To understand that the Finance position is a profit sourcethrough: effective analysis and information. Beyond ensuring integrity and timeliness of the information, to establish a Management Information System that informs the user, highlighting the nuances and perspectives for meaningful decision making. effective controllership and cost control effective planning (including tax planning) effective treasury and cash management effective bank relationship management 12. To provide leadership to the finance team, groom and develop effective financial personnel in the operating company. Requirement: Proven working experience as a Finance Manager / Financial Controller 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience Advanced degree in Accounting CPA or CMA preferred Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience with creating financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process Excellent accounting software user and administration skills Must be based in Sungai Buloh Selangor
