Job description: Job Description Join a leading Australian multinational specializing in commercial explosives and blasting systems for mining, quarrying, oil, and gas. The company is a significant supplier of sodium cyanide for gold extraction and offers specialized ground support services in mining and tunnelling. Working Hours: 3PM – 12MN(as these will service EMEA region) Work Set-up: Hybrid/Can be work from home Job Responsibilities: Reporting Provides accurate, meaningful, and timely business and regional performance reports to the regional management team Ensures month-end and quarterly reporting (e.g., Monthly Business Review, WD-5 Forecast, WD1/2 Flash, WD4 Flash, WD5/8 Exco Reporting,) is compliant with corporate requirements and completed on a timely basis Provides support in providing input and compiling Monthly Business Review reports for the region Performs cost of sales analysis, reporting and maintenance of product costs Perform analysis on customers (credit analysis, contract profitability, etc.) and products Collate analysis on business unit results, trends, market conditions and provide insights that aid commercial decision making Perform variance analysis against forecasts and budgets Perform ad-hoc analysis as required Assist with providing financial support to the regional business partnering team Ensure monthly capex reporting of actuals and forecasts is co-ordinated with the regional business teams Budgeting, Planning and Forecasts Consolidate and assist with the analysis and reporting of budgets, planning and forecasts for the region Assist co-ordination of the annual budget process at an overall regional level Assist co-ordination of the regional short term (mid-month and monthly) and long term (annual) forecast process Ensure all cost centre budgets and forecasts are complete Assist in the compilation and submission of annual capex budgets and forecast Administration and Compliance Provides the analysis of functional business spend and spend-by-type ensuring adherence to cash fixed cost targets Accurate spend monitoring and reporting including all relevant accruals and balance sheet management of the region Support cost centre owners to ensure awareness of their variances with plans in place to assist cost centre owners in reducing spend Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business discipline Experience in a large, global business in a similar role 2-3 years post graduate experience in accounting or finance (or related discipline) Understanding of SAP modules i.e. BPC / S4 Hana would be advantageous Highly knowledgeable of MS Office applications, especially Excel Possess reputation for integrity, ethics, personal values and solid character Builds the trust of others both internally and externally Demonstrate innate business intellect, commercial mindset, achievement orientation and competitive spirit Model resilience and flexibility adapts well to new circumstances and adversity Demonstrate a bias to working in a team oriented fashion, supporting other’s success
