Job description: Seeking for experienced law firm business development professionals to take up senior roles of the Business Development & Marketing department at an international law firm.

Description
Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and execute the firm’s business development strategy in collaboration with senior management.
- Identify target markets, sectors, and clients for business development initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and formulate effective strategies.
Pitch Development and Management:
- Lead the development and preparation of high-quality pitches and proposals in response to client requests and opportunities.
- Collaborate with partners and practice groups to tailor pitches to specific client needs and objectives.
- Oversee the pitch process from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Marketing Communications:
- Develop and implement marketing communication strategies to enhance the firm’s brand and visibility.
- Manage the creation of marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, website content, and thought leadership materials.
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
Award Submissions and Rankings:
- Identify and evaluate relevant industry awards and rankings for the firm and its attorneys.
- Coordinate and lead the submission process for awards and rankings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Maintain a calendar of submission deadlines and liaise with attorneys and support staff to gather necessary information.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and manage a variety of client events, seminars, conferences, and sponsorships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop event concepts, themes, and objectives.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, budget management, vendor coordination, and attendee registration.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of 4-6 junior business development professionals.
- Set performance goals, provide regular feedback and coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture, encouraging professional growth and development.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with partners, attorneys, and other key stakeholders to understand business development needs and priorities.
- Build strong relationships with attorneys, providing guidance and support in their business development efforts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to partners and practice groups, offering strategic insights and recommendations.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of business development or marketing experience within a law firm or professional services environment. Director position would require more experience in management and leadership
- Strong understanding of the legal industry, including key market trends and competitive landscape.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful business development strategies and initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in leading and managing a team, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work products.
