Job description: The successful Business Analyst will be highly motivated, intelligent, inquisitive, and above all creative. Our client’s web-based Mojo apps are reimagining the processes of property management, and as a Business Analyst you could help shape the future of the property management sector.
The Role
Successful candidates will be able to understand business requirements and translate them into business and technical proposals for new software. You will work closely with our other analysts, developers and colleagues throughout the business. You will need a wide range of abilities – for example, the ability to describe requirements and business processes to developers who have no business/product knowledge. You will be involved in all stages of software development, from research, analysis, design and testing through to fault finding. From time to time, you may be required to assist in sales presentations, provide consultancy (e.g. for system implementation), and work with customers to define requirements and business processes.

\[ Gathering insights and requirements from clients, client-facing departments and independent research to inform the evolution of our core products.
\[ Creating feature projects and user stories for Agile development.
\[ Representing the business side when explaining requirements and reviewing new work by our development team. \[ Contributing to the design and evolution of our products

\[ Writing and executing test plans.
\[ Functional review.

\[ The use or implementation of Property Management or Accounting systems.
\[ An understanding of financial and property accounting principles.
\[ Knowledge of Property Management and accountancy practices – either from a theoretical (best practice) or practical (everyday) perspective.
\[ Knowledge of regulations governing Property Management (e.g., RICS etc.).
\[ Ideally, knowledge of Trace TRAMPS/BlueBox/06ix (PM&A) and / or Mojo functionality (although training will be given).
\[ Knowledge of associated business issues, to ensure credibility with internal staff and customers of all levels.
\[ A basic understanding of SQL management studio.
\[ Competence in office software basics (MS Word, Excel and potentially other Microsoft Office products).
\[ Some experience of JIRA or other project tracking software
\[ Experience of Event Storming and/or other requirements gathering techniques
\[ Experience of Adobe XD
\[ Experience of Obsidian writing app
